Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Census Letter 2024
The purpose of the census is to develop a comprehensive reference point of the specialist perinatal mental health workforce for England that can also be used regionally and by local teams.
The work will produce a comprehensive assessment of current workforce alongside contextual service model and activity data to support discussions to inform workforce optimisation and development. It will build on the success of the 2023 census, providing insight into how the workforce is developing and services changing.
It will provide details of the size of the workforce by role as well as profiling its diversity in terms age, gender, disability and ethnicity.
Participants will receive a bespoke report outlining key messages and metrics, which compare local data against nationally reported positions.
