Further Information

  • The census is a key reference point in evidencing the progress made on delivering the workforce element of the national CYP MH strategy within the NHS Long Term Plan (LTP), the ambitions recently set out in the Long Term Workforce Plan to invest in training places to grow the workforce and supports the wider transformation agenda.

This will be the 6th year we have undertaken this census and as in previous years information will be collected on job roles, grades, age profiles, training and skills and more granular information on protected characteristics of staff to support widening participation to supply routes and opportunities for the CYP mental health workforce.

Participants will receive a bespoke report outlining key messages and metrics, which compare local data against nationally reported positions.
